$ dkms status | cut -d: -f1
backport-iwlwifi, 8613, 5.8.0-43-generic, x86_64
backport-iwlwifi, 8613, 5.8.0-44-generic, x86_64

They're all working from my side. Is it possible to purge this package and reinstall again, and let's see how it behaves from a clean install?

  $ sudo apt purge backport-iwlwifi-dkms
  $ sudo apt install backport-iwlwifi-dkms

Did that, now everything installed correctly,
But I reported this bug due to the following reason,
I am having a dual boot with windows 10 and ubuntu 20.04, suddenly after a
reboot, my wifi adapters stopped working.
After that I manually tried to install these packages, then I faced this
issue, after another reboot, I removed them all and re-installed them,
Now they are working fine.
What could be the problem? :D

DKMS build failure has nothing to do with hardware. And since there is no make.log available, I cannot tell what happened. So this is not an issue in backport-iwlwifi-dkms, I'm closing it.
