Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-applets

On hardy, I dragged the accessibility applet to the dock. It appears as a little wheelchair, as expected. Clicking it gives an error message. It should bring up the keyboard accessibility control panel.

Strangely enough I can reach that control panel through the Preferences menu.

This is a regression from gutsy.

I get the same error when right clicking and then choosing Preferences from the menu.

Apparently this window is reached by running "gnome-keyboard-properties --a11y". So it seems like you either need a shell script under the old name or to update the applet, etc.

I'm still seeing this bug. I'm running gnome-applets version 2.22.1-0ubuntu2 on Hardy x64, fully up to date (as far as apt knows, anyway - the repo is reporting 2.22.1-0ubuntu2 as the most up to date available).

"There was an error launching the keyboard preferences dialogue: Failed to execute child process "gnome-accessibility-keyboard-properties" (No such file or directory)"

Funny thing though, the keyboard accessibility control panel still loads, despite throwing an error. Although it refuses to remember any changes (both launched via the applet and through system prefs) - stickykeys appears to not work at all.

I'm more than happy (no stickykeys makes my wrists sad) to help test this, but am not entirely sure how I would do so....
