I am not sure who this is suppose to go to but for
some reason when i download and install firefox
synaptic has a window that comes up stating that i
have a broken package that is installed, then when I
uninstall firefox it doesn't say that I have a broken
package anymore so that tells me for what ever reason
there is something wrong with the firefox package and
needs to get looked at or see why its given me problem
if firefox package is fine.

This has been inactive for a few months now, and I cannot reproduce with FF3 on Hardy. Since many FF bugs are caused by extensions, themes, or plug-ins, can you try creating a new profile and see if the problem still exists on an unmodified FF?
