Mouse pointer freezes frequently

In Breezy, the mouse pointer freezes frequently. To enable it again I have to to
do Ctrl+Alt+F1 then Ctrl+Alt-F7 back to the gui and then it works for some minutes.

I am using the terminal and epiphany as my only apps.

I am using the 2.6.12-k7 kernel, nv driver (not nvidia).

My mouse is a Logitech Optical Mouse.

It works fine in Hoary.

If switching consoles fixes it, it seems like it's probably an X server problem,
but I can't think what it could be...

Does Option "SWCursor" fix it? It's probably just that the pointer's not
getting updated.

I tried putting in Option "SWCursor" "1" in the Device section. Was that correct?

It did not work. If the computer is idle, then the hang occurs.

I also get this problem, using a USB mouse (MS Explorer), and the nv driver.
This bug looks very similar to bug 20125, and the 'fix' there of using the usb
<=> ps adaptor fixes my proble as well.
