Bug Description

This issue is related to the issue 1810183 : https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1810183
This issue arises on a similar ASUS model, the M433IA, with the ryzen 4700 cpu, on Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS
Other than the integrated numpad not being illuminated and working, the touchpad itself has several issues:
- The mouse sometimes hangs on 'scrolling', even using only one finger.
- The pointer jumps from time to time, or even starts rapidly jumping up and down approx. 5cm.
- The mouse sometimes is clicking without input (while jumping)
- The mouse sometimes stops working completely, with no movement nor ability to click.

This behavior happens with and without the synaptics drivers. Only work around is the usage of an external mouse.

Ubuntu is installed in a dual-boot config and there are no issues when using Windows.
The BIOS is updated to the latest version.

Is the log collected when touchpad wasn't behaving?

No, I think the mouse was already disabled, so it may not be in the log. What is the command to save the log when I experience misbehavior?
Apologies for the delay, the machine is not mine.
