Hardy Heron 8.04 development branch on an AMD64 here... and what I did was to update a theme for the browser at the same time I was updating my window preferences under xfce. From the other comments here, I'd guess it was the crappy nVidia drivers doing it (if only they'd release a standard!).

Hardy Heron alpha 6. Crashed when opening a link in a new tab. Firefox window froze. Other windows dragged across firefox was leaving traces of their window contents. The tab attempted to be opened when the crash occurred did not reopen when i restarted firefox and restored the previous session. If someone can tell me where "debug-dumps" are located I can attach them.

Interestingly, it did not crash yesterday when I was using ATI`s driver (fglrx). Now I'm using vesa and it keeps crashing. (I'm using vesa now for other reasons...)
I don't know whose problem is it, but if it's Flash's, then Adobe should wake up and smell the coffee because Microsoft will release Silverlight 2 for Linux really soon (and Microsoft means business!).

yea it is flash. flash hasn't been stable on linux for many months. we
have been waiting for adobe to release an update. silverlight doesn't
matter, people aren't going to rewrite everything already written. besides,
linux people hate microsoft products.

@Trabuco007: You are right!
@Chad Bernier: It doesn't matter whether a product is of Microsoft or not. What matters for us is a stable software. And yes as of now Silverlight is not going to compete with Flash but soon M$ will!start porting SilverLight by default in their OS and no one has yet forgotten what happened to Netscape Navigator when M$ started porting IE by default.

It occurs after I watch a few flash videos, not so much on games.

This bug tends to happen when there's a lot of Flash "action"--i.e. clicking on various in a Flash animation in short succession, and stuff like that.

Signing on to eBay seems to be a reproducible step. More specifically
covered at bug 212407 (which is itself a duplicate of another bug, which is
currently marked private).
The flash problems remain unverified and untraceable....

I would like to,
but seems that does not exists any ia32 libs dbgsym, so debug is impossible, since this crash is releated to some ia32 lib that's used by nspluginwrapper.
so, without ia32-dbsym is impossible to file a better report.
