Binary package hint: brasero

Just finished burning of data DVD.. Burned OK, ejected the disk and crashed (no difference if I wanted to make 1 or 2 copies - after ejecting it crashes).

Just received this error on Hardy. Same 'cause' but I had finished burning an Audio CD instead of DVD. It was a DVD disc drive though.

I can confirm this error. After burning an iso-image, brasero ejects the dvd an crashes.
md5sum both of the image and the burned dvd match, so there is no error in writing.

Same issue here after burning a CD iso image the CD was ejected and program crash window appeared.

More or less the same... I've burned a image and after it ask to insert the recorded cd to check the recording and then brasero crashed.

A little different on Hardy Alpha 6 when copying a audio CD brasero chashed when inserting the empty CD while starting the writing process.

Where might I find the orignal report?

I arrived here via apport and only found two bugs with " brasero crashed with SIGSEGV in g_type_check_instance_cast()" in the subject line. The other was a dupe also.

It's a duplicate, please do not re open bugs that are marked as invalid giving you a comment that it's a duplicate, we have to deal daily with hundreds of reports and sometimes finding the exact number of the duplicate can be hard, it takes time and extra efforts, re opening cause more work and less help, you're welcome to use launchpad to search for the number and help us too, thanks.
