Bug Description

I had already reported bug #1876238 where internal speakers are not detected but shown as Dummy Output after upgrading Ubuntu from 19.10 to 20.04 LTS Focal.

It was solved by this patch: https://launchpad.net/~kaihengfeng/+archive/ubuntu/fix-lp1869819

The current PulseAudio update today reversed that again. Internal speakers are not being detected and are shown as Dummy Output.

I think that might make this a duplicate of bug 1876065, whose posed fix got clobbered and lost today.

Bug 1876065 is now reopened for focal so let's use that.

It was a regression in an update, not in the release.

To anyone landing on this page:

Current version is pulseaudio 1:13.99.1-1ubuntu3.2.

There is a fix/patch in this PPA that you can use it for now until the next update/release (Version: pulseaudio 1:13.99.1-1ubuntu3.2lp1869819):
