Bug Description

alsa-driver was selected automatically. I don't know if that's the problem. I'm newbie. I just want to understand when it will be triggered (if it's a feature) so I can avoid increasing the volume to the max accidentally.

See also bug 1894075.

summary: - I use the buttons on the keyboard to adjust sound (F1 mute, F2 decrease,
- F3 increase). More often than not, I push two to four times until the
- sound gets to the level I want. Sometimes it gets automatic after I
- press, and takes it all the way up, or all the way down. I'm not sure if
- this is a feature or bug but I can't figure out when it will be
- triggered, thus I end up pumping the music at very loud, uncomfortable
- levels until I get back my control from panic and decrease the volume to
- somewhere acceptable. There are times it automatically goes to complete
- silent from there which is still annoying although not as much as the
- first one. [81AX, Intel Kabylake HDMI, Digital Out, HDMI] volume slider
- problem
