package failed to install during 18.04 to 20.04 upgrade

DpkgTerminalLog.txt says:

update-initramfs: Generating /boot/initrd.img-5.4.0-28-generic
Error 24 : Write error : cannot write compressed block

From looking at the available logs, the first guess why lz4 failed to write is that the partition is full. Can you check how much space you have left on /boot?
