Bug Description

Dell XPS 15 7590 2019 version.
Apt linux kernel update from 5.3.0-23 to 5.3-0-24 and boot failed, kernel panic.
Attached file with booting with 5.3.0-24 debug display

For what its worth, this system originally had a wifi problem and is running a backport-iwlwifi-dkms package. Could that be the problem?

A clean install fixed the problem.

I just want to note that I had the same problem and removing 'backport-iwlwifi-dkms' package fixed it. Thanks for the tip.

I believe this is a duplicate of bug 1855825 that I'm working on. Please find PPA info containing poc fix in https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/backport-iwlwifi-dkms/+bug/1855825/comments/4 .
