From the dpkg terminal log I see this:

```
rm: das Entfernen von '/var/snap' ist nicht möglich: Das Gerät oder die Ressource ist belegt
```

which google translate tells me means:

```
rm: the removal of `/var/snap` is not possible: The device or resource is busy
```

It looks like this system has ZFS on the rootfs, is that correct?

Changed in snapd (Ubuntu):
status: New → Triaged
importance: Undecided → High

Workaround:

- unmount zfs volume 'sudo /var/snapd'
- uninstall package 'sudo apt purge snapd'

is error-free
