Bug Description

Steps to replicate:

1. Open an .epub in the reader.
2. Right click, then left click 'Preferences', left click 'Colors', left click 'New scheme'.
3. Observe:

Error: Unhandled error
Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'focus' of null
Error at userscript:viewer.js:24264:55
Show details

4. Left click 'Show details'
5. Observe:

Error: Unhandled error
Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'focus' of null
Error at userscript:viewer.js:24264:55
Traceback (most recent call last):
    at HTMLAnchorElement.ρσ_anonfunc (userscript:viewer.js:15816:54)

Fixed in branch master. The fix will be in the next release. calibre is usually released every alternate Friday.

FYI, I get the problem using Java 8 221 on Windows 7 64-bit. Looking forward to the fixed verion.
