Bug Description

In my case the battery icon is always the full battery icon and I didn't get any information of the % or the time remain of the battery.

I had Kubuntu Gutsy and upgraded to Hardy.

My laptop is Upi ( Intel core duo 2.00, Intel 945GM grafic card, RTL-8139/8139C/8139C+ network card)

Hi pukyxd,

Thank you for your report. Just for future reference, if you could attach your files separately to bug reports rather than as a tarball it would be much appreciated. Per the kernel team bug policy, can you please attach the following information.

* uname -a > uname-a.log
* cat /proc/version_signature > version.log
* dmesg > dmesg.log
* sudo lspci -vvnn > lspci-vvnn.log

Also, it might be helpful if you could include the output of the following when running from your battery:

* cat /proc/acpi/battery/BAT0/info
* cat /proc/acpi/battery/BAT0/state

For more information regarding the kernel team bug policy, please refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelTeamBugPolicies . Thanks again and we appreciate your help and feedback.

After some update it works again. Now the only problem is that it detects 2 batteries. Later I put the info you ask.

Remember that now the only problem I have is that I have two batteries in the powermanager and my laptop only have one.

The original issue seems resolved so I'm going to close the 'linux' task. I'll add a task against 'hal' based on your last comment. Thanks.
