5.3.0-10 crashes immediately in init_tis -> ... -> tpm_init -> ... -> tpm_tis_core_init.cold -> ... (never boots)

After the update to 5.3-10, my T480s now crashes in TPM init. At least the kernel executes, unlike in bug 1843860.

I don't have a full backtrace, as the kernel crashes and I can only take a screenshot at the end of the crash message.

Disabling TPM makes it boot

FWIW, the logs are from 5.2, as 5.3 did not boot earlier (because TPM was still enabled).

Same issue on Lenovo P51 with TPM 2.0. Booting from daily (20190922) with TPM enabled works. Installing Ubuntu from this live medium and booting crashes with TPM init. Disabling TPM let the System boot. Kernel Version of installed System is (5.3.0-10-generic).

Same issue on Dell Latitude 7390. I cannot deactivate TPM since the UEFI is password locked.
Also kernel 5.3.0-10-generic installed.
