CLI Companion Installation in Ubuntu 19.04 fails - python-vte missing

Hello!
I know this wonderful terminal is no longer maintained but I have NOT found another terminal tool that can save favourites/bookmarks of often used commands.

I tried to install the deb-file in Ubuntu 19.04 and failed:
sudo dpkg -i clicompanion_1.3-1_all.deb
Selecting previously unselected package clicompanion.
(Reading database ... 242806 files and directories currently installed.)
Preparing to unpack clicompanion_1.3-1_all.deb ...
Unpacking clicompanion (1.3-1) ...
dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of clicompanion:
 clicompanion depends on python-vte; however:
  Package python-vte is not installed.

dpkg: error processing package clicompanion (--install):
 dependency problems - leaving unconfigured
Processing triggers for gnome-menus (3.32.0-1ubuntu1) ...
Processing triggers for desktop-file-utils (0.23-4ubuntu1) ...
Processing triggers for mime-support (3.60ubuntu1) ...
Processing triggers for man-db (2.8.5-2) ...
Errors were encountered while processing:
 clicompanion

The "python-vte" package was removed. Can anybody help?

Thanks a lot for your response! I already thought nobody would respond anymore!
Thanks in advance in looking into this. I searched the internet but did not (yet) find a good alternative. It is so handy to have some commands in a list ready to use!

Thank you for your response! As I dearly miss the CLI Companion and did not find another similar companion I would really be grateful for work on this. And I guess there are others who would be glad about a comeback of the CLI Companion! Hopefully we hear more from you sooner than later ;) .

Not sure whether you still read this. If yes, could you drop a line and share if you still think you could fix this great CLI Companion app? Maybe after Christmas when life usually slows down?

Indeed, could this tool be updated for Ubunto 20? I enjoy it and can't find alternatives.
