Bug Description

When I try ti decode a png image of a QR code nothing happens, however when I drag and drop the image into the QtQR it will decode it.

I am using Linux Mint 19.1 and I installed the app from the software manager.

Hello John,

I’m not sure what Version does the MInt repo have, I’ll asume the same that Ubuntu’s. I’ll ask you to try two things:

1. Could you please add the Daily PPA to your System and test if the Problem persist with the latest version?
2. In case it does, please try opening QtQR from a console and check if the output for the error.

The mint repo version is 1.4~brz23-1. I tried instlling the PPA before installing the mint repo one but it would not install and I believe it is because the PPA does not support bionic.

Hi John,

Sorry to hear that, you are running an old version 1.4~bzr23-1 when the latest is 1.4~bzr32. I’ve checked and we are building the packages for Bionic and are on the PPA. May be you can try downloading the packages yourself?
