Hello Abhijit,

I can't spot any code in the gnome-screensaver package that would do this.

I did see a label that indicates when capslock is on, because users often cannot login when they accidentally turn on capslock.

I also wasn't able to find any PAM configurations that do this, but perhaps you have a PAM module installed that I didn't inspect.

What does your PAM configuration look like? (probably /etc/pam.d/gnome-screensaver and whatever configurations are included.)

Thanks

Hi,

I am not able to reproduce this bug on other Ubuntu installed PC.

It seems like this issue is not related to gnome-screensaver. Because I
have a weird problem when I type in.

When *Caps Lock is ON*, it types Capital Letters. Also if I *press Shift
keeping Caps Lock ON*, it still types capital letters where it should type
small letters. It works normally when *Caps Lock is OFF*.

I tried typing the password in Capitals Letters keeping *Caps Lock OFF*. It
did not allow me through.

Thank You.
