Bug Description
Host System:
Windows Vista Enterprise 32 bit
Virtual PC 2007 6.0.156.0
Kubuntu Hard Heron Alpha 3 CD
System is unable to boot.
Virtual PC stops with "An unrecoverable processor error has been encountered. The virtual machine will now reset"
If the system is booted without the quiet and splash flags the last thing the kernel says is:
[ 48.469254] SMP alternatives: swithing to UP code

Gutsy Gibbon works fine in the same setup.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. The Alpha 4 release of Hardy Heron was released last week and we were wondering if you can still recreate this issue with it. Thanks in advance.
