I've read an interesting article realted to calligraphy, this is the link: http://acg.media.mit.edu/people/fry/alphabetbook/alphabetbook-05.pdf
and in this document I've found that years ago two programmer realized
an interesting thing:
"For the Beowulf typeface, van Rossum and van Blockum replaced all the
lineto and curveto commands with something they wrote called freakto.
Instead of a straight line or a curve, it draws a random
spikey-looking line."
In Inkscape exists a way to apply a similar deformation to a path,
imho could be interesting to achieve a font-level effect (commonly we
find it in articles as "random font"): in this way you can emulate
handly written text, etc.
