Bug Description
Seen on systems 3.0.2 and 3.2.2.
Sometimes the process of loading bibs and items is interrupted in the middle of the process--whether that's from an internet blip or sometimes if a line item has 'link to catalog' it will stop the process. Additionally, if a user is affected by this bug (https:/
The process should be able to be run multiple times in the cases where the original process was interrupted for some reason. It should skip over any already-created barcodes and only create barcodes for LID's missing a copy.
Inconsistencies: If you check the "Load Bibs and Items" checkbox on the Load MARC Order Records page and get incomplete copies, you are able to successfully run Actions->Load Bibs and Items in the PO once. Additionally, when all copies are created on a PO and you click "Activate" it does not create duplicate copies.
Aha! Found this today, and adding this comment for posterity before I close the bug report.
Now that I know we're being affected by this bug: https:/ /bugs.launchpad .net/evergreen/ +bug/1634244 where bib records are being deleted from underneath line items, I set up a report to find affected line items. The report checks all the line items on a specified PO and tells me if the linked bib is deleted or not.
So if I go to that deleted bib, undelete, and try to Load Bibs and Items again, it works and all copies are loaded. So there's nothing wrong with Load Bibs and Items, it's just another instance of Bug #1634244 in action.
Marking bug as Invalid.
