I get dynamically changing distorted lines when using google chrome browser, I suppose it is due to my graphics card.

see attached the screenshot with distorted lines at two different places of
the screen. I am not totally sure but it seems that such a problem is
arising when the screen content is getting changed dynamically, for
example, when I write text (see the second attachment).

Thanks. That's either a bug in the web browser, graphics driver, or even in the web page.

I would first assume it's a bug in the web browser, but unfortunately Google Chrome is not part of Ubuntu so we can't handle that here. So to help us reassign this bug without closing it, can you please confirm the same bug exists in chromium-browser?

Can you confirm you're seeing these issues only in chrome/chromium, not other apps (I'm particularly interested in other browsers, such as firefox)?

Can you test the snap package of chromium (sudo snap install chromium) and report whether that one is affected too?

I have tested several days the firefox and also snap package of chromium
and they both don't show that problem.

thanks for the advice of snap package of chromium, that fully satisfies me.
