OpenOffice Dialog Boxes Go Full-Screen Under Compiz

When I use OpenOffice.Org Writer 2.3 with Kubuntu 7.10 under compiz, dialog boxes ("Are You Sure You Want To Save?" and that sort of thing) go full-screen, with the text and the menu buttons in the upper-left corner.

Opening spreadsheets and presentations in their respective openoffice apps freezes the computer completely.

Hi. thanks for reporting the bug and helping us make Ubuntu better. Can you please check the behaviour on 8.04 Hardy and Open office 2.4? I am unable to reproduce it at my end.
Setting it to incomplete until further information is available. Also if possible can you please attach a screenshot of the behaviour? It will helpful in fixing it.

thanks for getting back to me. two things have happened since.

- Checking off the workarounds box in compiz seemed to have done the trick.

- I've since upgraded to 8.04. (And OOO too, I believe.)
