Gnome Shell logs errors [Object Meta.WindowActor (...), has been already deallocated .... from <email address hidden>/theming.js:416]

All my gnome-shell extensions randomly (apparently) crash. This behavior began when i upgraded to cosmic.

Here's a excerpt of my logs:

Please try removing all your gnome-shell extensions and then reintroducing them one-by-one to figure out which one is crashing.

Actually, it's pretty obvious ubuntu-dock is crashing for you from the above log.

However please still try removing all your other gnome-shell extensions to see if that stops the problem from happening.

Hi. Thanks for your answer.

Is there some other steps i can take to help debug? It's very hard for me
to disable all extensions since i really depend on some of them to make my
desktop at least usable.

We require that you disable gnome-shell extensions just briefly so that you have time to figure out which extension (if any) is triggering the crash. That may not be the same extension as is shown in the log.

If you don't have time or interest to do this testing then the bug will close after 60 days of inactivity.

By disabling autohide, the error message in log does not go away, but desktop will recover and does not end up with black screen after wake up.

I have found a work-around to get back to desktop.

If you have locked the screen and it has hung you can lock/unlock by using the SUPER + L hotkey (Or whatever your shortcut key is).
