Bug Description

(minor issue)

Steps to reproduce:
- Install a snap application, e.g: sudo snap install retroarch
- Open application menu and go to group where apllication is supposed to show up, e.g. games

What should happen:
- An entry to run the application should be shown

What happens instead:
- The entry isn't shown

Workaround:
- After installing the application it is shown in the file manager
- After restarting the system, the application shows up in the application menu

Lubuntu as a project and LXQt as a project do not support snaps.

Have you tried restarting LXQt panel that should probably do the trick as a
better workaround.

I haven't tried restarting the LXQt panel, but I suppose it would work.

Snapd uses the standard way for this, i.e. it writes desktop files into XDG_DATA_DIRS. Maybe lxqt-panel is not monitoring all XDG_DATA_DIRS for changes ? Not sure what snapd can do about this.
