Bug Description
Binary package hint: firefox-3.0
Edit -> Preferences -> Advanced -> Encryption -> View Certificates -> Add Exception -> Enter an URL -> Confirm Security Exception
Pressing this last button doesn't appear to do anything (but it does add an exception), which is very confusing.

You didn't mention which version you are running. I guess it's b1 from hardy (as a8 from gutsy has no such thing).
In beta 2, when you "Add Exception..", in the new UI, all controls are grayed out, except "Location:" and "Cancel". Once you start typing the URL, "Get Certificate" becomes active. If you click on "Get Certificate", the certificate is fetched and analyzed, it's still not usable. You can "View..." it and either reject it (using "Cancel") or add an exception to make it usable (using "Confirm Security Exception", which happens to also close the UI, like a more traditional "Ok").
So in beta 2, this bug is invalid, at least it is for me.
