Hi all,

(I am not a tekkie) What I know is that I get the attached error message
everytime I start this laptop. My only beef with this laptop is that its
unable to keep a steady WiFi-connection up and running. Probably because
the Laptop chipset is old and doesnt support the WPA2-encryption.
Apart from that
 I am happy camper

Well, the error that pops up is because you've installed the grub package on your system without configuring it, and this package is deprecated.

You should remove it again with 'sudo apt --purge grub'.

Changed in grub (Ubuntu):
status: Incomplete → Invalid

tried that, (copied your command into Terminal) but : get this response:
--purge is not understood in combination with the other options

Sorry, should have been 'sudo apt purge grub' without the --
