Ok, you have told me the problem, but how do you fix it? Where do you find
the linux-image file that needs to be redownloaded.

Joseph: I tried your fix typing it in the terminal but I got the message
below

Isteven@steven-X540SA:~$ sudo apt-get install -f
[sudo] password for steven:
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
E: The package linux-image-extra-4.4.0-119-generic needs to be reinstalled,
but I can't find an archive for it.

Any ideas how to reinstall the package above?

Thanks,
Steven Fick

I tried your 3 commands from the terminal and they seem to have worked for
now. I am able to install new
software packages without getting any errors.

Thank you for your help, if I run into any more problems I will send an
email.
