Thanks for taking your time to report this issue and help making Ubuntu better.

I can confirm I get the same error message when attempting to run drascula 1.0+ds2-3 on Ubuntu Cosmic. I was also able to reproduce it on Debian Sid, so I have forwarded the issue to the Debian maintainer (see the attached bug watch).

This bug was fixed in the package drascula - 1.0+ds3-1

  * Declare compliance with Debian Policy 4.2.1.
  * Tighten dependency on scummvm and update drascula.dat to the latest
    available version. This will fix the fatal error message on startup.
