Bug Description
[Impact]
I recently updated my Thinkpad T430 laptop from 16.04 to 18.04. When using GNOME Flashback, the mouse settings have no affect on my Thinkpad Trackpoint. For example, adjusting Mouse Speed slider does not change the speed of my mouse pointer.

[Test Case]
On a Thinkpad T430 (possibly other Thinkpads?), log into Ubuntu 18.04 using GNOME Flashback. Navigate to the Mouse & Touchpad settings.
* Adjust the mouse slider to the left or right extreme and move the pointer using the Trackpoint.
* Enable/disable natural scrolling toggle and scroll a window.
[Regression Potential]
The maintainer's changes add some tests for the Trackpoint device and respond appropriately. This seems low risk to me, but although I am a developer, I don't have any experience with this kind of project so take this with a grain of salt :)
