adding drapes to panel fails

Bug Description

Binary package hint: drapes

installed drapes in gutsy, ran fine. one of the latest system upgrades to kernel has caused drapes to operate incorrectly. drapes will run in background and actually operate, however it can no longer be added to the panel and does not show as a running app. if attempt to add to panel, it fails with a "The panel encountered a problem while loading "OAFIID:DrapesApplet". and wants to delete if from the panel. wallpapers change, but without it in the panel or showing as a running app I cannot make any modifications to it.

Is this symptom still reproducible in 8.10?

I did not have this problem until 8.10, so I would say it is indeed still present.
