Bug Description
food for thought of a new wishlist item:
We should have a way of determining what kinds of preferences are saved in a .pcb file. For example, you might want to save layer colors for a particular design, but if you were to send it to someone else, you might not want to include that info as they may have their own preferences. Maybe you want to include font information... maybe you don't. Maybe you want to include grid settings... maybe you don't. Maybe you want to include route styles... maybe you don't.
It would be nice to have a way to control that stuff.

Hi Chad,
Regarding colors: one can save the colors to a file named "./pcb/ colors/ mycolors" in the user's home directory and send that file with the layout file.
Regarding grid settings, routing styles and other configuration information: the file ".pcb/preferences" in the user's home directory could communicate all that information.
The font information best goes inside the pcb layout file itself for dimensions of silk have a very close relation to soldermask and other features. Change the font style and silk may be printed on bare copper pads or drill holes. Your fab house may, or may not, prevent bad things happening to your board and YMMV here ;-)
Kind regards,
Bert Timmerman.
