Webclient: Claims returned handling

Bug Description

Right now, claims returns are included in the total for items checked out (summary on the left). My staff are requesting to either remove claims returned from the items checked out tally, OR add claims returned back to the "items out" section (rather than a separate tab) so that the one item out can easily be seen as a claimed returned, which they can ignore.

Hi Michele, there is a Library Setting to control whether Claimed Returned items are included in the checkout totals -- "Do not include outstanding Claims Returned circulations in lump sum tallies in Patron Display". If you set this to TRUE, the Items Out count that you identify in your screenshot will NOT include Claimed Returned items.

Hi Michele,

There is a library setting that controls whether claims-returned items are included in the circ totals, at least on the left sidebar:

"Do not include outstanding Claims Returned circulations in lump sum tallies in Patron Display"

There is another library setting that controls which tabs should contain claims-returned items:

"Items Out Claims Returned display setting"

The description is confusing because it refers to "top" and "bottom" lists, which was the layout in the old XUL client. I will post a bug about updating the description for the new web client tab layout.

Do these settings meet your needs?

Andrea and Remington beat me to it, but I also noticed the issue with the confusing description for the Items Out Claims Returned display setting. I'm going to add it as something else that needs to be updated in bug 1766262.

Marking 'Won't Fix' since there is a setting for it.
