The installer stop at the Update and Other software screen when Windows is installed

When you try to install Ubuntu on the same Windows disk, Ubiquity is stopped on the Updates and other Software screen.
So far the solution is to open the GNOME Disks application, and unmount and mount the Windows boot partition several times.
When rebooting the installer displays a message that partitions are mounted and if you want Ubiquity to unmount them. When answering Yes, the installation continues.

This does not happen with other distributions, For example KDE NEON (Calamares Installer) or Fedora (Anaconda installer)

This happens whenever there is a dedicated Windows partition on the main disk, even if one tries to install Ubuntu on an external disk where there is no other distribution.

This is how the partitions of my disks are distributed at the time of the report

I have this problem and the workaround (unmount and mount the Windows boot partition several times) didn't work. I've tried Ubuntu 18.04 LTS and Ubuntu 20.04 LTS Beta.

I've already tried minimal install with no updates, but the installer keeps stopping.

I'm using a HP Pavilion laptop, with Windows 10 (UEFI and SecureBoot Enabled).

Is there any other possible workaround?

PS: I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this question, but I can't find any solution in other sites.

Would be great if someone could be more explicit about how many times you need to mount/unmount? Why would it not be sufficient to do it (just) once?

In my case the partition was initially unmounted. I mounted it 5 times (no particular reason, just a random number) and it worked. I regret not trying to mount it just once.

To anyone facing this same issue, I urge you to try to mount it just once and see if the issue is resolved.

Got stuck while trying to install without "try" ubuntu first, tried mounting and unmounting, but that was greyed out in gparted.
Disabled hibernation in windows as that seamed to work for some on another forum, didnt work for me.

so thinking, maybe it is greyed out because i'm not in a "full OS", so i entered "try ubuntu", again in gparted but its greyed out. so then i proceded to try the installer anyways, and it worked... only thing i did earlier was to create a ext4 partition on the secondary ssd where i was going to install it. dont remember when in the process i did that, so unsure if that made a difference
