Bug Description

I've noticed that occasionally my input devices (kb/mouse) will stop functioning. My music is still playing, so I don't think that the desktop is hanging, and I'm able to SSH into the machine. Triggering the Gnome GPG pinentry apparently caused it to become unstuck.

My Xorg.0.log is here: https://paste.ubuntu.com/p/nP7TDPFFKK/

I've previously been impacted by a bug that made my input and desktop hang after X login:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nvidia-graphics-drivers-390/+bug/1763774

It appeared to be resolved by switching to lightdm as in this bug:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nvidia-graphics-drivers-384/+bug/1705369

I haven't entirely ruled out a bad USB front panel connection or the hub it is attached with. If I identify that as the cause of the issue then I will close this bug.
