Hi,

I tried your solution, but unfortunately it didn't worked.

It looks there is a problem related to Freecad daily app, and with dpkg:

"Setting up freecad-daily (0.18~beta1+git201804122057~ubuntu16.04.1) ...
  File "/usr/lib/freecad-daily/Mod/Draft/DraftTools.py", line 1617
    msg(translate("draft", "Pick radius:")"\n")
                                             ^
SyntaxError: invalid syntax

dpkg: error processing package freecad-daily (--configure):
subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 101
Setting up peppermint-settings-panel (0.1.4) ...
Processing triggers for libc-bin (2.23-0ubuntu10) ...
Errors were encountered while processing:
 freecad-daily
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)"

I don't know if this is causing problems with Peppermint settings panel. Can you help me so solve all this?

BTW, what does mean the current status: New - Invalid mean?
I did not abandoned the topic, I just was busy with other things in the weekend.

Nevermind, I solved the problem. Apparently it was related to the Software Updater. Anyway, now everything is OK, and the Settings Panel is back.

Thank you.

Great news, glad to hear you solved the issue. We only marked it invalid because nobody else was having the same problem, so it was highly unlikely a bug in any default packages .. more a support issue for non-default software which should really be taken up on our support forum:
https://forum.peppermintos.com

Anyway, thanks for letting us know you solved the issue.
