Screen dims when disabled

Screen dims even though it is disabled in power settings, though it is only when it is on battery power.
I do not want it to dim the screen while i am reading something, therefore disabled it.

Ubuntu release: 17.10

Thanks for your report. It sounds like an issue with the behavior rather than the documentation, though.

Thank you for your bug report, is that still an issue in 18.04? What desktop environment do you use?

I made a workaround, by setting the dim brightness to 100 percent, meaning the brightness it is on before dimming.
