Bug Description

I find a serious issues with dolphin as follows.

1) When I cut some files from a source directory and then I decided not to paste to any other directory. Meanwhile, system halt for some reason if I need to reboot the system. However, it seems dolphin already deleted the files from the source directory whether they are actually past to the destination directory or not.
In windows, I feel this action is handled in better. What happens there that until we do not past the files to the destination directory, the files from the source directory are not deleted.

2) Another issue is regarding the performance of the dolphin during opening the directory containing a large number of files. When I try to open such a directory, the dolphin halt the system until it show up the thumbnail of the files. For example, I have more than 110,000 images in a directory, I open the directory and I have to wait for a quite long time, for few minutes to respond the system. Meanwhile dolphin was showing the thumbnails of the images.
While, on the other hand, the windows also take some time to show the thumbnails (though considerably less than the dolphin) yet what differs is that the windows do not halt the system or that directory during this process. I can play with the directory.

Although the developers are quite busy but I hope these issues will grab their attention.

Thanks
asif

I assume you mean "dolphin" the file manager, not "dolphin-emu" the gamecube / wii emulator.

We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to review all reported bugs in a timely manner. You reported this bug some time ago and there have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time.

Please note that you didn't even tell with which release you were seeing the issues that you described - something very important to those that can help resolves problems and fix bugs.

Do you still see a problem related to the one that you reported when using a currently supported release of Ubuntu? Please let us know if you do otherwise this report can be left to expire in approximately 60 days time.
