Bug Description

After the Java update to version 8u161 on Jan 16 the Ubuntu java 8 installer package is still pointing to the version 8u151 files. Those have been removed from Oracle's download site and are no longer valid. This causes the installer to fail. Please point the installer to the new 8u161 files. Below is an excerpt from trying to run this update on my system:

apt-get install oracle-java8-installer -y

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Freenode.

To change the source package that this bug is filed about visit https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1744105/+editstatus and add the package name in the text box next to the word Package.

You can't move bugs over to them. I reported this to that team
yesterday via their email link on that page but have heard no response
yet.

I have submitted the request to the webupd8 team now. Their bug
tracking was much harder to find as it was simply a small line of text
at the bottom of the page that just says to contact them about issues.

They don't have one. You have to email them to report the bug. That
is why this is so confusing. Go to https://launchpad.net/~webupd8team
and hit the contact admins in the upper right corner.
