Bug Description
On my Tuxedo Notebook is Ubuntu mate 17.10 running.
I selected the Cupertino Layout in Mate Tweak.
When pressing the ALT-Key several times to bring up the HUD the complete console freezes. Only the mouse pointer can be moved, but nothing can be clicked.
I tried the same procedure several times after each necessary reboot.
1. Open Caja
2. Press ALT-Key about 3 or five times.

in 18.04 daily iso using AMD video card i don't have this problem
