I can read fine, 'fixing' by removal is not a fix.
Consider this bug & then you all would have a real fix.

Ok, but there is nothing vlc can do to fix it, unless you plan to fix mir or protobuf itself (that would be awesome)

When installing vlc via snap I get chromecast support out of the box. Why has it been disabled in the debian package? I know there was a problem with vlc/chromecast and gnutls-bin before but that has been resolved in gnutls-bin 3.5.17-1.

  * Enable again chromecast support, gnutls-bin is fixed now
    (LP: #1740182).
