Bug Description
Binary package hint: update-notifier
While update-notifier is checking for available updates, I don't see any icon. Icon is only shown when check finish and, then, an icon appears notifying me that there are new updates.
I would prefer that also an icon were shown while it's checking for updates because, when network is slow, I cannot install packages and for a newbie user this would be a bit extrange because there is no other way to know what is blocking deb database except running "ps axu | grep update"
For example, openSUSE 10.3 update notifier works as I am suggesting now :-)
Thanks a lot
