Apostrophe not handled properly in CD-Text

Bug Description

Binary package hint: brasero

The apostrophe character in CD-Text is written as "'" and shows up as this on the CD player's display. For example, the word "Don't" will be displayed as "Don't". It is an issue with Brasero because another commercial CD containing CD-Text information does not have this issue.
There may be issues with other characters but it was not tested with other characters.

I'm pointing this bug not to Brasero but to mkisofs or genisofs

Is this symptom still reproducible in 8.10?

Hi there,

the last time I tried to use Brasero after updating to 8.10, it didn't work at all. I don't remember exactly what was wrong but something to do with simply adding files to be burnt. I uninstalled it and now I use K3B that works perfectly.
