Bug Description

As maintainer, please can a bug-fix release of our package budgie-desktop-environment be accepted into artful.

  * Bug-fix release (LP: #1722119)
    - disable animations; various direct reports received about
      random desktop crashes - disabling animations will stabilise
      the desktop which will allow further investigation later

lintian -i -I on the built package
check-all-the-things on the source

Note - I need to test this upstream proposed patch https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=788666

If this works (sounds like it should) - would the desktop team be happy to carry the patch? If so, this bug report does not need to proceed.

confirmed the upstream mutter fix is on its way. This bug report is no longer required.
