Feature request: Export to clipboard.

Add a "Copy to Clipboard" option to the export dialog.

Hmm, I have no idea how programs interact with each other in terms of data exchange (especially on different platforms), but is this really an "Invalid" request in the sense that it's infeasible to implement or not desired? Of course the workaround is to save it as PNG and import it in the other application, but copy & paste is certainly more convenient. Anyway, since I can't give a qualified judgement I'm leaving the status at "Invalid".

I can't see how it's invalid either. It might eventually become a "Won't Fix", but until that decision, it's valid.

I think it would be better to define a unified format for managing SVG
files in the clipboard, and share it between free design applications.
As I'm not a coder I can't tell if this is possible, but sounds to me
like something that Adobe applications do.
It would be nice to have the ability to copy and paste svg data directly
in inkscape, scribus, gimp, open office, etc.
Using a png copy at a specified resolution would be nice if that isn't
possible, but managing the real vector data would be imo far better.

I agree, but that's really another matter (which is being discussed in other topic items).
