Bug Description

Hello - unfortunately I have a bug for you...

Background:
- I have been using v2.5 for a few months now, and had no issues.
- I used the app for about an hour today to both review cards & create new ones with no issues.
- v2.5 on MacOS 10.12.6

Situation:
- During a review of scheduled cards, I went to browse all my cards. The app immediately crashed.
- Restarting app did not help
- Restarting Mac did not help.

Documentation:
- Video of the bug in action: https://v.usetapes.com/UIAjXfO5qo
- MacOS error log is attached as a .txt file

Thanks! Love the app!
Chris

Since it's crashing deep within the library code, and not the Python code, and since it does not occur on Windows, I'll pass this on to our Mac developer, Devin. Hopefully he has an idea what causes this.

Small thing you could try though, if you have used 'increase size of non-latin characters', try turning that off.

summary: - App crashes when try to browse cards (v2.5)

Hi Chris

Could you send me a file with your cards? Perhaps it's a problem with one of your cards

Also, jsut to confirm, what version of macOS are you running?

Damn, I'm not able to replicate this error, either with the text error or the cards error.

Probably I should have asked for this first, but would you be OK to send me your database? Feel free to email it to me directly at <email address hidden> if you prefer

In the meantime, sorry, without being able to replicate it I still have no clues. PyQT is pretty mysterious to me.

No rush on this...

Hi, I tried this with your database but wasn't able to replicate the error as before.

If you or someone else with different hardware is able to replicate and/or solve this, great! I'm willing to help as much as I can

But unfortunately I don't have any other ideas about how to fix it from my end :(

FWIW my hardware is:

macOS Sierra Version 10.12.6
MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2016, Four Thunderbolt 3 ports)
Intel Core i5

So if someone has different hardware maybe they can replicate this.

For example, I don't have a retina display.
