This is a compiz issue, graphics issue. When I switch to Unity8 then I can see the errors in the syslog which is attached.

This "bug" appears to be the result of an APT RAT. Signature provided by Sguil. Anubis RAT. See attached.

Hi,

See attached. These screenshots show at least part of the problem. I'm
not sure that this trojan is the main culprit. This appears to be some
sort of UEFI/BIOS rootkit that maybe downloads this trojan and other
software.
