Bug Description
Since upgrade to Ubuntu 16.04 access to samba share is denied. (I have tried client use spnego = no, client NTLMv2 auth = no, allow nt4 crypto = yes, require strong key = no without success). Now samba update fail.
Note: New machines with new installations of Ubuntu 16.04 can't join the domain.
The primary domain controller and the backup domain controller are Windows NT 4.0 server service pack 6.

Thank you for reporting this bug to Ubuntu.
It looks like smbd is failing to start, but the reason isn't clear.
If this is still happening after the latest updates, could you please try a few things:
- sudo apt -f install
- sudo systemctl restart smbd.service nmbd.service
And lets go from there.
