"Details" does not show GNOME version

Bug Description
From the Gnome Help >> Tips & Tricks >> Determine which version of GNOME is running
You can determine the version of GNOME that is running on your system by going to the Details panel in Settings.
Open the Activities overview and start typing Details.
Click on Details to open the panel.
A window appears showing information about your system, including your distribution's name and the GNOME version.
yet...opening up
Activities > Details
the details window does not show either my distribution's name *or* GNOME version.
Either
1) This behaviour changed and the documentation is out of date
or
2) there's a bug in "Details" window.
