[Gutsy] deskbar-applet window switcher fails to bring window to front

Currently in the deskbar-applet (gutsy), if you type the name of an application and select "switch to", the applet will switch to the correct display for the application however fail to bring the application to the front. I believe this is not the intended behaviour.

Thank you for your bug. Could you make a screenshot of the issue? The "switch to" doesn't seem to be listed in the standard configuration, did you install anything to get this one?

Do you use the desktop effects option?

yes I use compiz fusion. I have also checked this in debain and found the
feature to work with compiz fusion enabled, hence the fact I think it's a
Ubuntu bug.

that's likely due to a different version and not an ubuntu specific bug
